Live at The Old Stables....
November 14th 2019 - Kim Richey with Hannah Scott
We are very proud to be able to welcome American singer/songwriter Kim Richey to The Old Stables.
Kim Richey is a traveller, musically, physically and emotionally. Not merely restless or rootless, it defines who she is. Willing to follow where the music leads, she’s landed in Los Angeles, Nashville, London, working with a who’s who of producers and musicians.
Twice Grammy nominated, Kim writes and performs music that flows from the soul and connects in a way that most artists can only aspire to. Sometimes her songs are specific and personal, but they are also true in ways that reflect so many other people’s experiences too. Richey’s sound effortlessly meshes strands of folk, pop, country and occasionally subtle bluegrass for an Americana feast that feels honest, heartfelt and emotionally sincere.
Support for the evening is provided by the astounding Hannah Scott. From Suffolk via Italy, Hannah Scott performs contemporary folk music and is picking up a loyal following thanks to her distinctive voice, strong melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Hannah’s music has been heard on BBC Radio 2, including a live session on Dermot O’Leary’s Saturday afternoon show and play by Whispering Bob Harris, and praise for her work has arrived from publications such as MOJO and The Guardian. Her arresting live performances have earned her support slots for the likes of 10cc and Seth Lakeman and shows at venues such as London’s Union Chapel as well, of course, as playing throughout Italy.
Doors open at 7.30pm with entertainment starting at around 8pm
